Divemaster Internship Options and Costs
Uncertified Diver to Divemaster (Zero to Hero) 9-Week Internship
Total Cost $4100.00
Open Water to Divemaster 8-Week Internship
If you already have your PADI Open Water Diver Certification (or equivalent), our Open Water Diver to Divemaster option is your starting point. This eight-week program includes accommodations.

Advanced Open Water to Divemaster 6-Week Internship
If you already have your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification (or equivalent), our Advanced Open Water Diver to Divemaster option is your starting point. This six-week program includes accommodations.

Rescue Diver to Divemaster 4-Week Internship
If you already have your PADI Rescue Diver Certification (or equivalent), our Rescue Diver to Divemaster option is your starting point. This four-week program includes accommodations.

Academics
The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. You develop the skills to organize and direct various scuba diving activities through knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessments. Topics and practical workshops include:
The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
Supervising dive activities and assisting student divers
Diver safety and risk management
Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
Business of diving and your career
Awareness of the dive environment
Dive setup and management
Mapping an open water site
Conducting dive briefings
Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
Conducting a ReActivate Scuba Refresher and Advanced Snorkeling course
Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs
Prerequisites
The minimum age is 18
The minimum scuba certification level depends on the program you choose. Please check the prerequisites for your specific Internship.
You will also need a completed and signed medical statement dated within 12 months of the end of your program. Click here to download a copy for review.
Payment and cancellation policy
A USD 250.00 nonrefundable deposit is due upon your acceptance of your Internship. Full payment is due five days before the start of your program. We will provide payment links allowing you to make your deposit and final payment with your debit card or any major credit card.
Once you have paid your deposit, you will receive your PADI Divemaster eLearning. If you decide to cancel your Internship, your deposit will be nonrefundable if you have redeemed your eLearning Code. If you have not redeemed your eLearning code at the time of cancellation, we will issue you a full refund of your deposit. Once the course has started, we cannot issue a refund.
