Divemaster Internship 1

Divers Alert Network (DAN) Divers Insurance. We require all our Interns to carry DAN Insurance for their protection.
Meals. We recommend you budget about $500 monthly for food, shopping, and entertainment. Of course, this depends upon your personal taste.
Transportation to and from Cozumel, along with any required visas
The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessments, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. Topics and practical workshops include:
The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
Supervising dive activities and assisting student divers
Diver safety and risk management
Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
Business of diving and your career
Awareness of the dive environment
Dive setup and management
Mapping an open water site
Conducting dive briefings
Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive
Conducting a scuba review and skin diver course
Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs
The minimum age is 18
The minimum scuba certification level is dependent on the program you choose. Would you please check the prerequisites for your specific Internship?

Cozumel Dive Academy does not provide housing.
We will gladly assist you in finding suitable accommodations for your time in Cozumel.
Payment and cancellation policy
A USD 250.00 non-refundable deposit is due upon your accepting your Internship. Full payment is due 30 days before the start of your program.
We accept the following payment methods:
Direct payment through our Online Store
PayPal. All payments through PayPal incur an additional 4% surcharge to cover fees.
Cash. We accept USD, Mexican Pesos, GBP, and Euros. Please get in touch with us about the current exchange rate.
If you cancel your Divemaster Internship booking, the following penalties apply.
30 or more days before arrival: forfeit – 25% of total Cost excluding deposit
Less than 30 days before the scheduled start date – 50% of the total cost, excluding deposit
After your Internship has started, the course is non-refundable
We do understand that unforeseen situations can and do arise. If you need to cancel your booked Internship, we will do our best to reschedule you for an alternate program. In the event of an extreme circumstance, we will work with you regarding any possible refund option.
